              Andrew Flint Shipman is a self taught artist who was born and brought up in the Theatre. He started his career in the theatre as an apprentice at the Theatre Royal, Windsor, working in all departments before settling into stage management. He then worked on many West End shows until going on to start a theatre production service, leaving the Theatre in 1989 to paint full time. His first show that year at W H Patterson resulted in a painting being bought by Sir Michael Caine and he has not looked back since. Celebrating in 2014, 25 years of exhibitions. To date he has had 28 solo shows and been in countless mixed shows. Exhibiting in England, the USA, France, Belgium, Malta, Spain, Greece, Crete and Scotland so far. The artist�s objectives for his work: Mystic Symbolist Andrew Flint Shipman paints positive icons, using the power of colours and hoping to create a window between the physical, mental and spiritual levels. Andrew also designs 'Useable & Wearable Art' for ANDREW FLINT DESIGN, a design business run by his wife and manager, Kate, making unique English-made products, from tableware to scented candles, t-shirts to aprons and bags.
