Valery Koroshilov
(b.1961) Russia
Russian / British artist
Valery Koroshilov was born in Russia and received an architectural
education. He now works from his two studios: one in London, and
one on the Greek Island of Samos, where he travels to every Summer.
Valery’s artistic career launched in 1992 after a successful
exhibition of graphic works in Amsterdam. He worked in Amsterdam
as an architect for Alberts & Van Huut who are one of the
leading Organic Style design firms in Europe. That first public
exposure led to invitations from three more galleries to exhibit
his work. Since then, Valery has exhibited regularly throughout
Europe, and in the last fifteen years participated in more than
100 exhibitions worldwide.
In London, Valery has shown with several leading galleries including
Roy Miles, Albermarle, The Mall Galleries, Westminster Gallery,
West-Eleven, Llewellyn Alexander, Royal College of Art, the BOC
Covent Garden Festival and Olympia and more recently, The Colomb
Art Gallery.
In 2000 Valery’s first works had been sold at the auctions-on-line
on the Sothebys.com and included into the BritArt Directory in
2001. In 2004 his painting “Masquerade” was chosen
among thousands of images to represent the Annual Chelsea Art
Fair and has been widely featured in the national press, including
The Times, The World of Interiors, The London Guide, This Is London,
The Antique Trade Gazette, and The Sunday Times.
Presented by Britart.com, several pictures had been shown at the
Classic FM Festival aux Quat'Saisons, where they accompanied the
performances of some of the most creative classical musicians
of our time: Emma Johnson, the Sorrel Quartet and Julian Lloyd
Webber.
In 2005 a British Fine Art Publisher produced a Portfolio of Limited
Edition Signed Prints featuring 12 images based on his original
paintings (Post Impressions, Aliasart). Valery has recently completed
a major commission of thirty paintings for the P&O company
for their UK's biggest luxury cruise ship, the Ventura, which
Dame Helen Mirren officially opened in April 2008.
The Colomb Art Gallery is proud to exhibit a number of paintings
by the artist Valery Koroshilov. For all available works please contact the gallery.
