Roberto Luigi Valente
(b.1926) Antica, Italy
Roberto Luigi Valente was born in 1926, the fourth son of a farming
and wine producing family of Frosinone, Picinisco, Antica near
Casino in view of the Abruzzi mountains, where he still lives.
He has famously painted this most beautiful area of Italy for
over fifty years.
As well as exhibitions in Rome and Naples, which have included
his vast fiery canvases, Roberto’s work can be found in
many corners of the world as original paintings and published
prints.
Now approaching what he terms middle age, Roberto has decided
to concentrate on smaller works completed in the perfect light
of his favourite region, complemented by the ever present cigarette
and glass of red wine.
The Colomb Art Gallery currently has a number of original paintings
by Roberto Luigi Valente
