Jean May Parsons
(b.1952) British Painter
Jean May Parsons is a self taught artist working in the South Hams of Devon. She began painting as a pastime and is now an established full time artist working mainly in acrylics and watercolours.
Her inspiration to pursue painting came from a trip to Venice where she says she was “overwhelmed by the beauty of the architecture reflected in the water.” Although she has grown much as an artist since her trip to Venice, she believes the influence of Venice with its richness and decorative designs still remain.
She has had several solo exhibitions and shows in various galleries across the south west. Her paintings are in collections in both the UK and abroad.
The Colomb Art Gallery, London is proud to exhibit a number of original works by the artist Jean May Parsons.
