Howard is a professional artist with thirty years experience. After twelve years in a foundry office Howard turned to his passion of painting, and became a full time artist in 1984. Exclusively in oils his work can be seen capturing landscapes, still life and wildlife paintings.

Howard’s landscapes are produced from reference gathered from many parts of the country. His landscapes fall into two categories, one depicting the natural beauty of the English countryside and the other, life in Victorian times.

His still life paintings are a subject that Howard has always been renowned for. The rich colours and high detail give his work a timeless quality. His work has also touched on wildlife both in the UK and Africa.

There are few artists today with the talent to produce work covering such a diverse subject matter. His work is mainly sold in the UK but has been exhibited in galleries around the world including the USA, Spain, Australia and the Middle East.
