"Metamor-Facets"

Art is truly in the eye of the beholder. As an artist, I see the world through my own vision, transforming complex images into organic shapes filled with various colors, textures, and meaning.

For this show, I studied some of my favorite paintings and photographs from different angles, in different light, and while in different moods. As I studied and painted what I saw, the original images morphed into new and different interpretations, exploiting the contrasting layers of light and dark inherent in the original images.

Most people see abstract art as a disorganized mess with no clear meaning. My goal when painting the series for Metamor-Facets was to give the viewer a glimpse of what it is like to see the world through one artist's eyes.
